My Story

Marnée Richardson – Professional Coach
I am a Certified Professional Coach with evidence-based training from Lumia Coaching. I adhere to the ethical standards of the ICF and am working towards my accreditation. The road that led me here is full of creativity, with a background in music and musical theatre. My bachelors in communications supported my successful career as a full-cycle recruiter.
Throughout my life, I often changed myself to be accepted by others. I was able to “fit in” with many different groups. I was a great chameleon. As a black woman, I also felt pressure to prove myself in school, work, or even as a musician. Society’s narrative about black women was like the little demon on my shoulder whispering in my ear that I would never be good enough.
As an intuitive empath, I carried the weight of others’ emotions. I always felt connected to my intuition, but at times, I worked against my gut feelings. At some point, I realized I had disconnected from my inner compass. Codependent in my relationship, burned out in the corporate world, and doom-scrolling my life away – I was lost, highly anxious, and depressed.
In 2019, desperate for change, I started the journey back to myself. I found meditation, and for the first time in a long time, I heard my inner voice. My inner compass was reactivated, and my gut led me to therapy. I began to honor my own needs and learning to trust myself again. I recovered from codependency and people pleasing. I poured into myself, and as a result, I began to live life authentically.
Living authentically led me to coaching. Being a Talent Acquisition professional for the past decade taught me so much, but I knew it wasn’t fulfilling my purpose in life. I am here to help people reconnect with their inner voice and experience the peace and contentment that comes with living life authentically.
